A New Year, A New Committee.

Firstly, Congratulations to all the New Talent on the committee this year. It’s going to be a fun ride!

I think that our new president, Field Marshall Marshall, will have a different focus to our previous Fearless Leaders . Onward & upward.

Remember that if you have a topic you want raised, or an issue addressed or even just a general question & you don’t know who to ask (or are afraid to ask) then please speak to the committee, at practice, by phone or email. committee@phoenixcompany.org.au

Or you can contact any one of us individually if you want a more private chat (not charged at $5.99/min).

We are here to represent the whole group. Every member has a voice in how this group grows and we would love to hear it.

The committee have had some general discussions about the “Member at Large” positions, such as gunner, draper, etc, and there is a list of filled positions further in the newsletter.
In the next couple of weeks we will our “Official” Committee meeting, so if there is anything you want to bring up, if you have any suggestions or questions, now is the time to do it.

We have a new committee that haven’t entirely learnt what they are in for yet. Take advantage of that while you still can!

President Kelvin Marshall
Secretary Kim Kaim

Treasurer Reyn Adsett

Vice President Andrew Beasley

(and a New Editor)
I would like to publicly thank Mandy for the efforts she put in to give Phoenix such a quality newsletter for the last two years.

I know first hand how hard she pushed, pleaded, threatened, and went mad just to try & get the articles from the membership (including the former president) and then put them all together so we could have something interesting to read every few months.

But The Flames are something more than entertainment. It is something that members can look back on as a source of reference and information

Mandy, you’ve given me a high standard to live up to.
